Franklin A Torrealba, PE, ENV SP is Water Regional Director at Ardurra Group, Inc managing the firm’s south Florida water and wastewater projects. With over 37 years of experience, he has become renowned in the fields of program & project management, planning, hydraulic modeling, preliminary engineering & feasibility reports, permitting, scheduling, cost estimating, design, bidding services, procurement, construction management & administration and construction inspections for pump stations, pipelines, implementation of trenchless technologies, sanitary sewer evaluation survey (SSES), water/wastewater facilities & treatment plants, sanitary sewer systems, water supply & distribution, wastewater collection & transmission, flow monitoring, Infiltration/Inflow (I/I) management, rainfall monitoring & I/I compliance, stormwater systems, transportation, environmental services, disaster recovery, resiliency & infrastructure hardening, business process optimization, value engineering and AMI. Franklin has been successfully involved in some of the largest RR&R programs for the Miami-Dade County Water & Sewer Department with over $2.5B in treatment plant improvements, pump station rehabilitation, renewal & replacement, major pipelines installation, sanitary sewer lateral improvements, water service line replacement & meter relocation, among others. Franklin holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans, and a master’s in Business Administration from the Loyola University. He is a registered professional engineer in Florida and Puerto Rico. In addition, he is an active member of the ASCE, WEF, FES, CAACE, AWWA, among other professional organizations. Franklin served as the 2021 Chairperson and 2022-2023 Board of Ambassadors Member for the American Cancer Society to support in effectively implementing the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign.
