Dr. Carlos Mallol is responsible for Strategic Business Development and for Alternative Project Delivery opportunities in the US, Caribbean and Latin America at Stantec, a professional services company dedicated to infrastructure projects throughout the world.

During his 40-year career, Dr. Mallol has been dedicated to the management of construction and engineering companies, participating in large infrastructure projects and programs.  His emphasis has been in construction and consulting services for public works programs ranging from several million to over one billion dollars.  Dr. Mallol was responsible for infrastructure programs involving hundreds of projects in South Florida and participated in the design or construction of iconic projects, such as the Miami Metro Mover, the Miami Intermodal Center, the Port of Miami Tunnel and the Bridge of the Americas in Panama.

Dr. Mallol is a member of the Board of Trustee, Florida Chamber Foundation, an organization dedicated to research long term economic development, education and competitiveness that will help grow and diversify Florida’s economy. Besides his professional activates, his interests include education and mentoring.  He has been an active member of the Advisory Council for Engineering at Florida International University for over a decade, and of ACE Mentor Program, an organization that helps high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering or construction.

Dr. Mallol has bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and in Architecture, a master degree in Engineering Management and a doctorate in Business Administration. He is a licensed professional engineer and licensed architect in various jurisdictions.
