Bruno Sanabria Alvarez, BSCE from University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez and MCE, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Proud parent of three FIU Alumni’s, one a Landscape Architect, another a Business Administration Mayor and one a BS Civil Engineer. Also, a daughter in law that works at FIU Provost Office as Associate Director of Academic performance improvement. Member of DAB since 2008. Recently retired after 40 years of service from Baxter Healthcare Corporation, Deerfield, Illinois, a Medical Products supplies manufacturer & distributor with global sales in excess of $15 Billion. During those years occupied several positions like; Director of Intercontinental Engineering, Plant Manager, Global Director of Environmental Health and Safety, Global Director of Engineering responsible for Latina America & Asia responsible for operations expansions and new greenfield plants in several countries like Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, China, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore & Australia. Also priorly involved for six years in Construction Management and General Construction of Pharmaceutical plants in Puerto Rico. Knowledgeable of local environmental and health authorities’ regulatory requirements in many different countries around the World. Extensive knowledge in all manufacturing of Medical Devices, Intravenous Solutions and Peritoneal Dialysis Solutions used in hospitals around the World.
