BS in Civil Engineering:

EEL3110 Circuit Analysis (3) is removed from the Civil Engineering curriculum.

New courses:

CGN2161 Civil Engineering Career Orientation (1). Overview of the Civil Engineering profession, including understanding of the discipline subfields, to assist students in determining the area(s) of emphasis they might want to follow for their professional career.

o BS in Environmental Engineering:

EEL3110 Circuit Analysis (3) is removed from the Environmental Engineering curriculum.

 New courses:

EGM3503 Applied Mechanics (4). Statics and Dynamics of solids and fluids. Science of engineering materials. Open to non mechanical engineering students only. Prerequisites: MAC 2312 and PHY 2048.

This course substitutes EGN3311 Statics (3) and EGN3321 Dynamics (3).

ENV 3081 Environmental Engineering Career Orientation (1). Overview of the professional practice and project management skills for Environmental Engineering.  Topics focus on understanding of the discipline subfields, job opportunities, and research environments.

ENV 4960 Environmental Engineering Seminar (1). Basic principles and applications of environmental engineering, including environmental science, solid and hazardous waste, water resources, water supply, wastewater, and air quality for environmental engineering students. Prerequisites: EGN2030, EGN3613, ENV3001, EGN3343, CWR3540, ENV4351 Corequisites: ENV4101, ENV4401, ENV4551.
This course substitutes CGN 4980 Fundamentals of Engineering Seminar (1).
