Sangeeta Dhulashia is a practicing Engineer experienced in both Private and Public sector. She has over 27 years of experience with leadership, managerial and organizational strategy skills. She has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from L.D. College of Engineering, Gujarat, India and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Florida International University (FIU). She believes that FIU has provided her a significant cultural integration experience in addition to the education as she immigrated from India.

As a Deputy Director of Utilities at the City of Sunrise, Ms. Dhulashia is responsible for supporting the director and responsible for operation of the Water, Wastewater, and Gas Utilities and Public Works for the City of Sunrise. Through her professional career she has played a leadership role in three key organizations where she has seeked opportunities to maximize the power of people, processes and technology to play an effective role. She has extensive experience in facilitating stakeholder collaboration, visioning, planning, forming and leading teams, and driving strategic decisions. She has managed and delivered complex utility, facilities and public works projects. She takes value-oriented approach to problem solving and is well regarded by the utility leaders in South Florida.

Her technical expertise encompasses Utility Management and Infrastructure Programs. She is an active member of various organizations and is committed to Sustainability. She has been a Governing Board member for the Sustainable Advisory Committee at the City of Sunrise and participates in Earth Day events. Ms. Dhulashia is a mother of two, she enjoys cooking, loves problem solving, is an avid learner and an artist.
