Catalina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida. She is currently the Florida Transportation Operations Group Manager at Gannett Fleming, bringing over 19 years of expertise in Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O) and traffic engineering. Throughout her career, Catalina has contributed to projects across the United States and the Middle East. She is an active leader in several professional organizations, including serving as the Chair of the ITE International TSMO Council and as a member of the National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE) Strategic Advisory Council. Catalina is also the Chair of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) South Florida Chapter Mentor Program, Past President of the Florida Puerto Rico District of ITE (FLPRITE), and the former Chair of Connected Women at Gannett Fleming™. In recognition of her contributions to the field, Catalina was named one of ENR’s Southeast 2018 Top 20 under 40, the South Florida ITE Private Sector Transportation Professional of the Year in 2023, and the FLPRITE District John R. Freeman FLPRITE District Transportation Professional of the Year in 2024.
