The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of FIU is pleased to be participating in National Engineers Week with a day of events on Friday, February 22. CEE Graduate Research Day will also coincide with the 2013 FIU Engineering Expo, which is hosted by the FIU College of Engineering and Computing.

CEE Graduate Research Day is composed of two events taking place in separate locations within the FIU Engineering Center (EC).

The CEE Graduate Student Poster Session will be happening in the EC Panther Pit from 10:30 am – noon. M.S. and Ph.D. students will be showcasing their research in the specialty areas of structural, geotechnical, construction, water resources, transportation and environmental engineering. Come by to see the exciting findings of their cutting-edge research.

From 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm in EC 2440, FIU CEE will host a presentation from Distinguished Lecturer John W. Fisher, Ph.D. of Lehigh University, a renowned academic and expert in bridge engineering. Dr. Fisher will deliver a talk entitled “Durability of Existing & Future Steel Bridges.” Learn more, including how to register for a live webcast of Dr. Fisher’s lecture, by clicking here.

We hope you will join us for both of these exciting CEE Graduate Research Day events! If you have any questions, contact Madelyn Young, CEE Marketing Coordinator, at madelyn.young@fiu.edu.
